What is a peeling?
It is an active acid solution applied to the skin to enhance natural exfoliation, helping treat mild acne, correct pigmentation disorders, improve the condition of keratosis pilaris, and combat skin aging.
This solution, formulated with highly concentrated quality active ingredients, causes a controlled destruction of various layers of the skin, followed by regeneration and remodeling—thus improving skin texture and imperfections.
The skin is refreshed, clear, and revitalized.
There are different types of professional peels that act on various layers of the skin, ranging from very superficial peels to deep peels.
Epilia exclusively uses DERMACEUTIC peels, the leading brand in medical-grade peels. Dermaceutic offers safe and effective professional peels for all skin types, classified into two categories:
- Superficial peels: MASK PEEL / MILK PEEL / CRYSTAL PEEL
These help maintain healthy skin. They target concerns such as acne and the first signs of skin aging, delivering a radiant complexion. - Medium peels: COSMO PEEL 15 and 18%
These provide exceptional results for more advanced signs of aging, pigmentation issues, and keratosis pilaris.

Some concrete examples, among many others:
- Thick, oily skin with enlarged pores, often seen in smokers.
- Microcystic acne.
- Acne scars.
- Melasma (pregnancy mask).
- Uneven skin tone.
- Wrinkles and skin laxity.
How often?
A series of 4 to 5 peels at intervals of 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the peel chosen. Regular sessions ensure better tolerance and enhance effectiveness.
What you need to know:
For all professional peels, symptoms such as redness, erythema, or a burning sensation may occur, but they usually subside within a few hours. These are normal and well-known skin reactions.
In the following days, slight swelling may appear, and varying degrees of peeling can occur. In all cases, it is essential to protect your skin from the sun for at least one month after the peel.
To optimize results, a cosmeceutical skincare routine should be implemented at home two weeks before the peel and continued for up to six weeks afterward. Our Epilia ambassador will provide your personalized DERMACEUTIC prescription to help you achieve the best outcome.

These products will help to:
- Ensure uniform penetration of the peel’s active ingredients.
- Reduce the risk of complications.
- Accelerate the wound healing process.
- Prevent intolerance and allergic reactions.
Contraindications:
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Wounds or skin inflammation
- Eczema, psoriasis, hives
- Diabetes (delayed wound healing)
- Patients using topical or oral treatments such as benzoyl peroxide, retinoic acid, isotretinoin
